Maria Conti, RYT 200, LVCYT :I have been practicing yoga for 20 years with the desire to one day take the teacher yoga training as a learning and growing experience. After attending different studios, teachers and yoga styles I was led to Satya Yoga Shala and it is there that I found my transformational space. I felt I needed to pursue that desire to learn more about the union of body and mind. I received the 200 hr RYT certificate at Satya Shala Yoga and I am truly grateful for this profound , enlightening and life changing experience. Since then I have also received First and Second Degree Attunement & Training in the Reiki method of Natural Healing and plans on pursuing it to masters. I am certified in Chair Yoga by Lakshmi Voelker “Get fit where you sit!” making Yoga even more accessible to all. I am also a certified Laughter Yoga leader since 2013. I have held several sessions in different Nassau County locations in Yoga studios, Wellness centers, Girl scout events and have had sessions in cooperate offices as well . I enjoy to uplift and help people bring more joy and laughter into their lives with Laughter Yoga classes.Laughter is healing and the classes offer you the tools to not sweat the small stuff and manage the big stuff.I believe in honoring and respecting our bodies along with the challenges and remind my students that we are not the limitation of our body. Yoga is a practice intended for all, a Y-O-U practice, therefore you must find your own Yoga. Learning the value of the breath, alignment of each pose and with awareness of both, finding the connection between mind and body. I work in a wellness center with a close friend/chiropractor and together we enjoy encouraging people to live their best life. We create workshops including Meditation, Yoga, book signings, essential oils Make & Take classes etc. that are super in bringing communities together. I hope to continue to help people find their strength, inspiration and path to their true self with the notion that we are all one and we all need to do our share to bring communities together. Namaste.
